Today marks my fourth anniversary of joining A&M to lead our financial due diligence Infrastructure team in Europe. Last week we also passed our 100th successful infrastructure deal…two milestones in short succession. As we mark our report card at the end of year four, I am incredibly proud of what we have been able to achieve as a European Infrastructure transactions team. We started with a blank sheet of paper four years ago and followed a simple mantra. We built a business “together” as a cohesive infrastructure team, irrespective of borders or service lines, to deliver a senior led team that combined sector and subject matter expertise with local market knowledge…no politics, no egos.  Four years later we’ve worked on 160+ transactions, leading to 100 completed deals, with 42 separate clients, in 14 European countries…. so I guess we must have got something right. Thank you to Big A&M for continuing to invest through turbulent times, to my Infrastructure colleagues for helping make the last four years a blast, and to our clients for bravely challenging the status quo alongside us.  Do I have any regrets? None at all… roll on the next four years. A&M is Infra!

Congratulations to our client, Ancala Partners, on their acquisition of a majority stake in Fjord Base Holding Group from Semi AS and the WIS Group. Fjord Base is Norway’s largest supply base, located at Florø on Norway’s western coast, and handles 2,000 ships and 400 kilotons over quay per year. Congratulations to our client, Arjun Infrastructure, on their investment in Amarenco, a solar photovoltaic energy producer. The result are in for our Q4 Infrastructure Pulse Survey, compiled in conjunction with the GIIA and its members. They make interesting reading. Infrastructure may be more stable and insulated from inflationary pressures that other sectors but it is not immune as you’ll see from our latest survey. Significant dips in sentiment are noted since the last survey. Infrastructure fund raising has tightened, infrastructure debt has followed wider debt market challenges, and the UK is out of favour driven by short term political turmoil and a developing concern over the direction of UK regulation. With plenty of dry powder, digital, renewable and energy transition assets look to be the hot picks to sustain transaction activity for the next 12 months. #infrastructure https://lnkd.in/e5kh8FAR
